  • In 1945, during WWII, Fenton Art Glass made this elegant pale pink cased glass piece for Weil Ceramics...all overlay pieces from Fenton were made by pouring clear glass (in this case pink) over Milk Glass, thus creating the eye-appealing dimensional cased effect. The double crimped edge effect was also nicknamed "Petticoat Glass" by Fenton. The #4517 style is hard to find and becoming more collectible. The Rose Overlay is known as one of the more delicate Fenton colors.
