Absolutely stunningly beautiful vintage Fenton Art Glass! Fenton produced the Mandarin Red color between 1933 and 1935. It was known for the richness of its red color that was enhanced by the marbling effect achieved when the gatherer purposely did not clean the excess glass from his punty and instead continued to gather glass for a new piece. The difference in temperature created by this action produced varying shades of red glass swirled through the new piece.

  • pre-logo ~ FENTON did not start impressing their logo onto their line items until 1974; until then, only paper stickers were used - understandably, stickers were usually removed after purchase

  • appearance and condition: EXCELLENT no chips ... no cracks ... two tiny fleabites (see image) ... negligible shelf wear ... negligible surface scratches ... stands straight ... shiny and clean ... original handle shows signs of expected vintage wear, including a break on one of the loops
