- rare glass items like this one from the 1930s~1940s were originally used to hold cigarettes. nowdays they are very popular to be used for holding toothpicks or other slender knicknacks on the dinner or buffet table - as well as being sought after by tobacciana afficianados. considered 'elegant depression glass', pieces like this are expertly made and exquisitely detailed. this piece is no exception!
- vintage clear glass frosted and engraved monogrammed stemmed cigarette/toothpick holder
- overall 4"h x 3 1/8"dia
receptacle: 2 3/8"dia x 2"d
- glass receptacle has been etched with tiny vertical 'stripes' and a dimond-shaped frosted glass panel has been cut with the monogram letters 'ASL'
- clear glass shaped stem is attached to glass tray that has been etched with the 'stripe' like the receptcle as well as a stylized floral design
